YOUR NEW ROLE
In your new role as a Social Care Worker, you will work directly with
your service users in their residential setting and develop
appropriate professional relationships with children and
parents/carers. You will engage them in activity led programs, while
contributing to the day-to-day operations of the residential centre.
You will support each Service Users and encourage them to actively
participate in their local communities and play important roles as
citizens. Your new role also requires administrative duties and
responsibilities pertaining to key working the Service Users in your
care. You will work collaboratively with your colleagues and
management to ensure they receive the agreed quantity and quality of
services.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
To succeed in your new Social Care Worker role, you will have a
minimum QQI Level 7 in Social Care or a related discipline. You will
be a driver or be actively working towards getting your full Irish
license. You will be resilient and would benefit from previous
experience in a Residential setting.
